We take the health of our employees and their families very seriously. Our Preventive Medicine Division oversees and implements strategic healthcare programs ranging from diabetes and hypertension awareness to personal health and safety issues. What's more, most medical care including physicians' services, prescriptions, surgical procedures and hospitalisation is provided free to employees and their eligible dependents. Patient satisfaction is a guiding principle in our healthcare delivery.

Saudi Aramco began to offer medical care in 1933. In the early 1950s, the Medical Services Organization constructed the first Dhahran Health Centre to provide medical care to Saudi as well as expatriate employees and their dependants. Today Saudi Aramco Continues to provide one of the largest and most modern company directed hospital systems in the Middle East .

Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization (SAMSO) includes one hospital located in Dhahran, as well as four outpatient health centre located in Ras Tanura, Al Hasa and Udhailiyah. SAMSO facilities have been accredited in 2002 and 2005, by the United States Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

The hospital in Dhahran has 300+ beds, a large outpatient service, and contains some of the most advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities in the world. The diversity in culture, ethics and professional backgrounds of our staff, representing over 20 countries, provides rich experiences in providing patient care.

OUTSIDE THE EASTERN PROVINCE

In other regions you'll receive care at company designated hospitals and clinics. An employee or dependent with a complex illness may be transferred, at company expense, to a specialised treatment facility here or overseas.
